When I was younger I wasn’t really into visual art in general. And I didn’t realize it until I was older that my Trump is a scab Shawn Fain shirt and I will buy this great-grandmother, who was half black and half Native American, was a visual artist. She painted and made quilts and was very talented. She was my only experience of a black visual artist growing up and when I was little I didn’t even realize that what she was doing was actual art. I tumbled to the ground and scraped my knees. No, not really. We don’t see art the way other people do. We see what we were trying to create as well as what we actually did create. Because imagination is unlimited and can represent flawlessness, whereas reality is never perfect, this means we’re very aware of all the ways in which our work doesn’t live up to the mental image we were trying to convey.

Whereas others can only see what we actually did; there’s no mental image to compare it to. Every day I work it is reinforced that I am a technician other technicians go to, and I can’t afford to have a device with Wireless Mobile Internet. This is supposed to impress me? Yay. Oh… and is some conspiracy nut going to shoot it down? Or is the operator of the drone scanning WiFi in the area, mapping what’s available and capturing packets?
