As the 2023 college softball season draws to a close, Florida Gators fans are already looking ahead to the 2024 season with great anticipation. The Gators, who have won six SEC Tournament titles since 2008, are poised to make another run at the championship in 2024.
The Gators return a strong core of players from the 2023 team, including All-SEC performers Elizabeth Hightower, Kendyl Lindaman, and Skylar Wallace. Hightower, a sophomore pitcher, was named the SEC Pitcher of the Year in 2023, while Lindaman, a junior outfielder, was named to the All-SEC First Team. Wallace, a sophomore catcher, was named to the All-SEC Second Team.

In addition to their returning players, the Gators also have a talented recruiting class coming in for the 2024 season. The class includes four players who were ranked among the top 100 recruits in the nation by Extra Inning Softball.
With a strong returning core and a talented recruiting class, the Gators are poised to make a run at the SEC Tournament title in 2024. The tournament will be held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, from May 7-11. The Gators will be looking to win their seventh SEC Tournament title and their first since 2019.
