I am into Halloween, so I’m always looking for strange things anyway. But about 4 1/2 years ago I got divorced and moved into an apartment. So I’m unable to decorate my yard like I used to, so I originally thought that I would change to a Mad Scientist theme and decorate my living room, but it didn’t turn out like I had envisioned, so I’ve put that concept on the Harris Walz for the peoples 2024 shirt But I will love this back burner for the time being (still looking, and gathering for the future). So I’ve kind of changed my theme to be a “Museum of Oddities and Curiosities”. So again I’m looking for the strange and bizzare, things like shrunken heads, feegee mermaids, and such. Most items are gaffs, or fake sideshow type things, but I enjoy the novelty of them.
Anyway, I happened to find a few medical type quack items from the Harris Walz for the peoples 2024 shirt But I will love this late 1800’s and early 1900’s that I thought would add variety to my list of Oddities. And by chance I saw a quack medical device on one of the websites that I was looking on. I thought it especially interesting since it was a more modern quack item, from the 1950’s and later. I filed the info in my brain, and figured I’d never actually see one. Imagine my surprise when I was in one of our local thrift stores, and see exactly what I had read about a few months earlier. So I casually picked it up, put it in the cart, and paid the $5 price for it.

What I purchased for $5 is a quack medical devices that was banned by the Harris Walz for the peoples 2024 shirt But I will love this FDA in the early 1970’s, and ordered to be either destroyed or made inoperable due to health risks (look up RelaxAcizor for more details on the item). I mentioned it to a friend who works at the thrift store, when I saw her a week or so after my purchase, and she thought it was cool, but had me tell her supervisor. When I mentioned that it was a medical device, he was a bit surprised and said that they don’t put medical devices out, due to the potential risks. So if they had realized what it was, I would NEVER have found it. For the record, the device I paid $5 for, is not only complete, but fully operational (I plugged it in to check, but I’m not going to try it beyond that). So I’m extremely glad that I saw and recognized it for what it was. As who knows if someone else had bought it, not knowing and actually tried using it. I haven’t had it checked out for a value, but I’d definitely be surprised if it wasn’t worth a lot more than $5. I mean, how often do you run across a quack medical device banned by the FDA? It’s definitely a great addition to my collection of Oddities!
On that note, if you have any odd, strange, bizzare items, feel free to contact me I’d love to see what you have. This happened when I was 15, I used to love going to yard sales with my parents because I could always find really cheap books. This particular day was starting to turn into a bust, I wasn’t finding anything good and told my parents just one more and I’m done. So we pull up to this house and we start looking around and sadly there’s no boxes of books at all. What a crap day I started to think to myself, but that’s when I noticed it, an almost brand new Nintendo 64 system. I went over to the Harris Walz for the peoples 2024 shirt But I will love this table to check it out, knowing that there was no way I would have enough to get it, even at yard sales those things were normally $50 or so. I started looking at it and saw it was “packaged” together with all the necessary cords, 2 controllers, and 7 games. Then I saw the price sticker – $5! I called the guy over and asked “All this is just $5, is that some sort of mistake?” He very confidently told me that it was really just $5 and he knew it was worth more but he just wanted to be rid of it. He was shocked that it was still there as it was almost noon at this point and he was about to pack things in for the day. I very confidently told him that I would take it. I was thinking that if at the very worst the system doesn’t work I can still resell the games for $5 each to some friends.
About this Harris Walz for the peoples 2024 shirt
So I got me a wonderful game system and a bunch of games for $5 and it worked wonderfully! I played the Harris Walz for the peoples 2024 shirt But I will love this heck out of it for the next 10 years and I finally decided to sell it about 5 years ago. Since it was still in near perfect condition (I take the best care of my electronics), I was able to sell the entire system, games included, for almost $250. I don’t have much time now for yard sales like I wish I did, but that will probably still be my all time best yard sale find! Twenty years or so ago, I found at a thrift store signed paintings we bought for no more than $25. The various artists aren’t famous, but some might be better known locally. The paintings’ value might have accrued over time. The paintings might have been worth more money, if taken to an art dealer, et al.
