Technology billionaire Elon Musk believes that the 2024 election will become “America’s last election” if former President Donald Trump does not win.

“Few Americans realize that if Mr. Trump is not elected, this will be the last election. He is not a threat to democracy, but the only way to save it!”, Billionaire Elon Musk commented on social network X on September 28.

The technology tycoon’s statement was made with just over a month left until the US election. Democratic presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris has repeatedly called his Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, a threat to democracy.

“Let me explain: If 1 in 20 illegal immigrants became American citizens each year – something the Democrats are pushing as fast as possible. Then there would be about 2 million voters new legal status in 4 years,” Mr. Musk responded to an article claiming that 9 million illegal immigrants are eligible for naturalization under the current US administration’s policy.

“Furthermore, the Biden/Harris administration has sent “asylum seekers” who are granted fast-track citizenship directly to swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Arizona. Here’s how they will definitely win every election,” he added.

In the context of swing states often deciding the outcome of US presidential elections with a margin of less than 20,000 votes, Mr. Musk said that if the Democratic Party succeeds in using the immigration issue to boost the their intelligence, there will be no more wavering. At that time, he said, the only election would be a Democratic primary, similar to what happened in California in the late 1980s.

In recent months, billionaire Musk has repeatedly expressed his desire to be in charge of a government committee in Mr. Trump’s potential administration.

However, Mr. Trump expressed skepticism about this billionaire becoming a part of his administration. According to him, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla may be too busy to serve in his cabinet. Instead, he suggested billionaire Musk could play an advisory role in his administration if he is elected in the November election.

Illegal immigration and the situation at the border have become the main contentious issues between Democrats and Republicans in the presidential election. Mr. Trump has criticized his Democratic opponents on immigration issues, condemning President Joe Biden’s restoration of immigration policies from former President Barack Obama.

Polls show public frustration with Democrats after growing numbers of undocumented immigrants and homeless people in major cities, leaving social services overloaded under President Joe Biden’s administration. Democratic mayors have voiced concerns that their cities are struggling to cope with the influx of immigrants.
